Welcome to Originals
The Divinity School is an intensive year-long program forging leaders who can align humanity with the natural intelligence of the universe. Its four training pillars—clarity in perception, visionary scholarship, wisdom skills, and effective agency—form the heart of an emerging civilization more beautiful than any before. These are skills everyone can cultivate to fulfill their unique roles in this realization. To broaden access to these insights and pathways that are embodied more intensively in The Divinity School, we are launching Originals. Welcome.
Originals platforms the kinds of people that become faculty for The Divinity School, individuals working at the edge of their fields and transforming them to more comprehensively realize the depth and power of the living world. In science and policy, arts and agriculture, activism and national security, these originals offer a better view of what’s real and help us build freer, more beautiful futures.
The pre-digital world is now a by-gone era. Our digital reality is now the new normal, and the technological imperative has become mainstream. Who is left to envision alternative futures?
To be an original means not being constrained by the status quo, which today means being captured by the illusion of a technological fix. To be original means to intentionally and purposively situate oneself in the future, orienteering by the processes of cosmological, evolutionary, and spiritual vital forces that are always already ongoing. This is what we seek to portray, and practice.
You are invited
You are invited to join our community that values serious learning, focusing on developing character, vision, action, and commitment—not just accumulating knowledge. We have designed it for you to walk a path, with old and new friends, and many mentors.
We publish episodes featuring original leaders and host live watch parties to uncover their key insights. You can join and host study groups, participate in open discussion forums, and access a library of resources to structure your learning. It’s all hosted privately in a community platform where we move forward high-leverage fields advancing more living futures.
In this first season of Originals
We feature people who are expanding our religious imagination; articulating the deep continuity of life, mind, and language; crafting a guidebook for joyfully and gracefully facing existential risk; revealing the generative dynamics of the healing self; drafting a blueprint for post-Westphalian geopolitics; peeling away the blinders of scientific materialism so that new sciences can be born; taking us on a journey to the ends of space and the beginnings of time.

In his book Critical Path, Buckminster Fuller described the sequence of crucial tasks that humanity must follow to ensure prosperity on earth. I am sure that 2025 will be a critical path year, either tilting toward vitality and renewed life on earth, or nudging us toward an irrevocable point of collapse toward conflict and destruction
Along with the myriad paths society will follow, the choices we make in our communities will matter the most … Let’s walk this critical path together.
Making good choices is not just a matter of collecting information like the big data centers or surveillance operations do. Collective intelligence is not the same as collecting intelligence! This critical distinction is being undermined by the techno-digerati flooding our feeds with incessant announcements about AI breakthroughs. Every day they ratchet up the volume on the power of the machines — now running a quadrillion bits of information and consuming an entire nations-worth of energy.
Originals is building a countervailing wave to push back this disbiotic tide. To be successful, this conversation needs many more voices, in private and public, in intimate spaces as well as spaces of contention, in politics, philosophy, literature and art.
It is our dream to harness the power of true collective intelligence, that which is sourced from the living earth, courses through the biosphere and animates human bodies in word and deed, and has, to this very moment and beyond, shielded us from the kind of nihilism and despair that otherwise would destroy our conviction to build a future we want to live in.
